DESCRIPTION:Please join your Symphony friends for an ‘Autumn Sunday Afternoon Picnic at Lake Louise”\, our Annual Fall Potluck\, at an exciting new venue.  It is all happening on Sunday September 28th from 4:00 to 6:30PM. Mark your calendars and start thinking about your favorite dish to share with our collective music lovers. \n\n\n\nThe Weaverville Community Center\, at 60 Lakeshore Drive in Weaverville just off Merrimon Avenue\, is our new venue this year and it will not disappoint. Join the party and mingle with friends under the elevated covered deck overlooking Lake Louise while we nosh on appetizers and drink our favorite BYO beverages. We will move into the large community room where we will dive into our delicious banquet. Bring a dish to share (and a serving utensil) along with your preferred drink. The Board hosts will take care of everything else – water\, napkins\, glasses\, ice\, plates and cutlery\, wine and beer openers. The spacious kitchen is equipped with two ovens\, a large industrial refrigerator\, and an ample work surface. \n\n\n\nWe will hear from our President\, Cliff Albertson\, and our Executive Director\, Daniel Crupi\, who will provide inspiration for the year. You can also engage with the Symphony staff and learn the latest goings-on with the Symphony Guild.  \n\n\n\nParking is easy and convenient at the back of the building\, up the hill. It is a large parking lot and a flat walk to the front doors. Additional parking is on the street and another lot up at the pickle ball courts. Simplifying your life and your kids don’t want your treasures? \n \n\nScheduled for June 3-5\, the Asheville Symphony Guild is hosting an estate sale for this year’s major spring fundraising event\, held in conjunction with the WNC Bridge Foundation.\n\n \n\nHow can you help?\n\n \n\nWe need lots of donated “estate sale-quality” items. During your spring cleaning this year\, search your closets and storage areas for unneeded and unwanted high-quality items. Maybe there were a few items you considered for our recent Brunk auction\, but fit better here. Now is another chance to donate these items to a great cause!\n\n \n\nPlease pass the word on to your friends\, as well.\n\n \n\n\n\n \n\nTypes of items to consider for donation: Furniture in good condition\, ceramics\, tableware\, glassware\, silver\, art\, books\, working lamps\, decorative items\, artwork\, high-quality new or vintage linens\, couture or vintage clothing\, jewelry\, high-end fishing equipment\, vintage tools\, electric tools\, musical instruments and mirrors.\n\n \n\nTo help gauge acceptable items\, ask yourself this: Would you pay at least $20 for such an item at an estate sale?\n\n \n\nTo make it as easy as possible for you to donate\, we’re offering several choices for dropping off your items — and you can also schedule a pick-up of large items from your home.\n\n \n\nMore information will follow in the coming weeks and months.
