A NEW Asheville Symphony season is about to begin with our new conductor, Darko Butorac, at the helm. Darko will be conducting the majority of this season’s concerts, and is definitely conducting the concerts in September, October, and November. I’m excited to have him here and am really looking forward to the NEW season. (View the full symphony season here.) Plus, this is an Asheville Amadeus festival year, so even more great things in music are coming our way!
You may have noticed that we are communicating with you, our members, in a new way – by e-blast. It’s a great way to send out short, pertinent notes about things you should know in a timely manner. Our e-blasts generally go out early on Sunday mornings in weeks when there is news to share, so watch your inbox to stay up-to-date!
We will not be publishing our old newsletter, High Notes, or mailing out the membership booklet, Libretto. This new approach to communicating with you saves the Guild a lot of money, meaning we can give more to the Symphony. The information that you used to receive in High Notes and the Libretto will now be available via e-blasts, and on the Guild website.
The Guild website has all the information you need as a Guild member. Explore it! There you’ll find the schedule for the year’s events — ASO concerts, Friday Symphony Talks, Musical Feasts, and much more!
Soon this year’s Musical Feasts will be ready to reserve — so be sure you are ready to sign on to the website! If you have not yet done so, take a minute to visit the Guild website and set up your user name and password. Don’t miss out on planning your social schedule with your Guild friends.
The Guild membership list will also be available on the website. You will need your password to access it as it is not open to the public.
