Wander Through Bucky’s Run
Friday, October 9, 2026 @ 3:00 pm – 6:00 pm
How often do you get to visit a garden in Asheville that is listed in Smithsonian Archive of American Gardens? This opportunity is offered to the Guild by the owners and creators themselves.
Eileen and Chuck Hutchison invite you to stroll through Bucky’s Run – 1 3/4 acres of unbelievable landscaping containing more than 3,000 plants, shrubs, perennials, and 75 specimen Japanese maples – all designed and planted by Chuck since 2009. View sculptures by Berry Bates, a waterfall, iron gates, a concrete statue, a lap pool, stone and metal benches and 30 planted beds.
After you wander through this beautiful outdoor paradise, enjoy light refreshments and beverages while visiting with the gardener and author, Chuck Hutchison.
To learn more about Chuck – who was on a national championship team at Ohio State and then played six seasons in the NFL – and this amazing garden transformation, consider reading his book, Getting My Hands Dirty and visiting chuckhutchison.com.
