A Delightful Evening of Acoustic Guitar and Dinner

Thursday, September 26, 2019 @ 5:30 pm

$90.00

 – A Feast for the Eyes (and the palate!) »

Join us for a delectable Fall dinner in the Ramble to listen to guitar legend Al Petteway’s amazing music. A Grammy and Indie Award-winning guitarist who calls this area home, Al is known for his lyrical and powerful finger-style acoustic guitar music.

Your evening will start with a delicious buffet dinner and drinks as you visit with Al in The Ramble’s Living Well Center, surrounded by gorgeous woodlands. After dinner, Al will play some of his most famous music.  Then stay to enjoy a sumptuous array of desserts.

Al’s compositions and playing provided the music in PBS’s Emmy Award-winning series “The National Parks – America’s Best Idea,” directed by Ken Burns.  Strongly influenced by Celtic, Appalachian, folk, rock and blues style music, he has played with some of the best-known artists in those genres.  He was voted one of the “Top 50 Acoustic Guitarists of all Times” by Acoustic Guitar Magazine. For 23 years, Al was coordinator for the

Guitar Week program of the Swannanoa Gathering summer music camp at Warren Wilson College near Asheville.

Al and his wife, composer and music partner Amy White, have played for years in the beloved Swannanoa Solstice at the Diana Wortham Theatre.

Come spend an evening in a delightful setting with great music and a fabulous dinner!
