*CANCELED* An Elegant Evening Celebration of the Green – At the Albemarle Inn

Tuesday, March 17, 2020 @ 6:00 pm
$90.00

Catch a Leprechaun on St. Patrick’s Day (Tuesday, March 17th) and let him grant you three wishes to celebrate the day!

  1. Elegant Irish food and wine
  2. Served in a beautiful and historic setting – the Albemarle Inn
  3. Wonderful musical entertainment by Asheville Symphony musicians, Frances Duff and Rosalind Buda.  Your wishes are granted at this fabulous Musical Feast!

The Albemarle Inn, located in the tranquil Grove Park District of Asheville, was built in 1909. Its most famous guest was the great Hungarian composer Bela Bartok, who lived there in 1943. Inspired by the songs of the birds, he composed his 3rd Concerto for piano right here in North Carolina.

Upon arrival, you may walk the grounds, take a tour to see which room Bartok stayed in, and socialize.  The proprietors of the Inn, Rosemary and Fabrizio Chiariello, will treat us to a delicious Irish buffet and Fabrizio will share the Inn’s history with us.

Frances Duff (cello) and Rosalind Buda (bassoon) will delight us with some Irish folk songs, maybe even an Irish jig, and, of course, some Bartok.

As the evening comes to a close, enjoy delectable desserts and savor the memory of an evening of beautiful music, delicious food and wine, and a beautiful setting.
