Musical Feast: Celtic Caprice
Saturday, January 12, 2019 @ 11:30 am$60
For a terrific winter’s-day diversion, we offer an enchanting house concert with a whimsical twist. Come to the McLellan’s home in Kenilworth for lunch, be swept away with the music of the Celtic harp and, just for fun, a demonstration of “Fairy Hair”.
For the occasion, award-winning Celtic harpist, Sue Richards, will offer a concert of traditional Celtic music. Sue is an internationally known performer, teacher, composer and author, recording CD’s and entertaining audiences throughout the United States and Europe.
She has won the American National Harp championship four times and is now a Scottish Harp Society of America Distinguished Judge.
Begin the event with Prosecco and appetizers after which you will be enchanted by the sweet sound of the Celtic harp as Sue performs.
After the concert, sit down to a generous luncheon of quiche, soup and fresh fruit. And for dessert, indulge your sweet-tooth with chocolate torte topped with raspberry coulis and whipped cream!
To further enhance the affair, Linda Roberts of Studio 70 will demonstrate the technique of applying hair tinsel and its effects. Some lucky party-goers will have the option of being one of the ladies so adorned (at a nominal price). Others may wish to arrange a “do” at her studio.
This unique party is of a piece with Musical Feast fare – great food, delightful venue and beautiful music with a fanciful touch.
