Musical Feast: A Wildflower Picnic In Kenilworth Garden

Celebrate spring at a delightful picnic set in one of Asheville’s most beautiful gardens. Your hosts, John Cram and Matt Chambers – who brought New Morning Gallery and the fashionable Bellagio’s to Biltmore Village as well as Blue Spiral, the Fine Arts Theatre and Bellagio Everyday downtown – have lovingly maintained and added to their garden over the years.

After mingling with your fellow guests, enjoying a glass of wine and admiring the spectacular grounds overlooking the lake, join a tour led by one of the home’s gardeners to see wildflowers in bloom and feel the peace of this lakefront home. Be prepared to do a little walking because it is a nine-acre work of art!

Upon your return, relax in a lawn chair on the veranda overlooking the lake for a traditional picnic lunch of fried chicken and salads prepared by your hostesses. Then top all this off with iced tea and desserts.

When you leave, you will take home a “happy surprise” from your hosts – a potted plant just for you! It’s a tradition!
