Take Me Out To The Ballgame

Thursday, August 20, 2026 @ 6:45 pm

What could be more enjoyable than hanging out with Symphony Guild friends and Symphony enthusiasts at an Asheville Tourists home game?  Now’s your chance!  Join us at the newly renovated Home Trust Park to cheer the Tourists as they challenge the Brooklyn Cyclones on Thursday, August 20, at 6:45 p.m.

Nestled into a hillside just south of downtown Asheville, HomeTrust Park is one of the most historic and picturesque ballparks in Minor League Baseball. Opened in 1924, the stadium is famous for its “cozy” dimensions, particularly a right-field wall that stands 36 feet high (drawing comparisons to Fenway Park’s Green Monster) due to its short 297-foot distance from home plate. Over its century-long history, the field has hosted legends like Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig, and Jackie Robinson and even served as a filming location for the 1988 classic Bull Durham. It has recently undergone a “Centennial Restoration.”  Come and check it out!

We have reserved 40 tickets, and it’s Thirsty Thursday, which means $1 regular beers, $1 Cokes and $3 craft beers all night long! The Guild will be recognized at the top of the fifth inning; this will be a great time to meet friends and make new ones.  Bring your friends, too!

Game Time:  6:45 p.m. The ball park opens one hour prior to the first pitch..

Your host for the evening is Kyle Parks! This event is fully sponsored by Parks PR, so all money raised goes directly to the Symphony  Guild.
