“IMMORTAL BELOVED” the mystery, entertainingly explained by Darko

As spring begins to emerge outside, join Maestro Darko Butorac for a fascinating exploration of the life and music of Our Beloved Beethoven as we celebrate together his 250th birthday. This will be a feast for the senses, eyes, ears and mind, as we enjoy savory hors d’ oeuvres, a glass of wine, the engaging movie, and an enlightening discussion as we gather in the beautiful surroundings of the Ramble Living Well Center.

After a delicious meal, grab a bag of popcorn and settle into our subject, the 1995 film IMMORTAL BELOVED,revealing the beautiful music and life of Beethoven superbly portrayed by Gary Oldman.  After the movie, Darko, with his highly anticipated insights and thoughtful perspectives, will lead us in our exploration of the mysteries and myths surrounding Beethoven’s life and  music.   Just who is this elusive, Immortal Beloved of Beethoven?  Some clues arise from his own writings, discovered after his death in three letters found in his personal belongings.  We expect to come away with new insight, appreciation and eagerness to hear more LVB.

Come enjoy an absorbing movie, critique and discussion of your favorite composer by your favorite conductor in a relaxed setting as we push away the winter doldrums into the spring concert session celebrating the 250th birthday of this great composer.
