Musical Feast: Champagne, Chocolates and Michael Ruiz
Sunday, October 8, 2017 @ 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm
$75.00Where do we start to describe an afternoon with Michael Ruiz and his magic, playing the piano and teaching us jazz, classical and pop music? Last year, this Guild function was oversubscribed. If you want to be part of this, act now.
Michael has a doctorate in theoretical physics, has won the most prestigious awards at UNCA where he teaches physics, has the largest classes in all of the school, has written concertos for his children which they have played on the concert stage, fills OLLI classes every year, is a university trained pianist, and is simply the most entertaining musician and teacher you will likely meet. His students describe him as the best and craziest professor they have ever encountered.
Enjoy an afternoon of champagne, chocolates and hospitality in the homes of Bolling Farmer and Joanne and Tom Parker at The Fitzgerald. This will be followed by a delightful hour with Dr. Ruiz in an intimate setting. He will cause you to laugh, to wonder and to walk away feeling like you have just been part of something extraordinary.
