Musical Feast: Featuring…Denise Kiernan!

Tuesday, April 2, 2019 @ 4:30 pm - 7:30 pm

$50.00
  • « Concert: Masterworks 6
  • Musical Feast: Family of Earth »

Have you met your Asheville neighbor, Denise Kiernan? Next spring, Musical Feasts will offer you an amazing opportunity to meet and talk with this New York Times Best Selling Author!

Denise has served as chief writer for the television show Who Wants to be a Millionaire and has won countless awards and acclaim for her work. She has also appeared on numerous television programs such as PBS’s News Hour, MSNBC’s Morning Joe and The Daily Show with Jon Stewart.

Denise’s latest Best Seller, “The Last Castle” – The Epic Story of Love, Loss and American Royalty in the Nation’s Largest Home is certain to be of great interest to everyone who lives in Asheville. Released in September, 2017, it is, of course, about our own Biltmore House, the Vanderbilt family, the impact the Vanderbilts had on western North Carolina and the Gilded Age it entailed.

The Asheville Cello Kids (with the Academy for the Arts Cello Choir) will offer a special selection of music for your added pleasure. The “Kids”, under the tutelage of Frances Duff, of the Asheville Symphony Orchestra, are in a group of young cellists who meet a few times a month to play together, and they perform throughout the community each year.

Come chat with the author, visit with your friends and enjoy lovely music while enjoying high tea at the magnificent home of Nancy and Ron Edgerton on Reynolds Mountain. In case you haven’t yet become acquainted with the book, autographed copies will be available for purchase that evening. Don’t miss this exceptional Feast.
