Musical Feast: Feast and Falconry at the Sourwood Inn

Tuesday, April 17, 2018 @ 12:00 pm

$70.00
  • « Masterworks 6 – Jayce Ogren
  • Musical Feast: Two Ps in a Poz »

Back by popular demand, we have arranged a repeat for those many of you who requested it. Do come enjoy an April afternoon at the Sourwood Inn, Asheville’s closest and most glorious mountain getaway. The Inn, an Asheville treasure, is located on 100 acres of hilly terrain at an elevation of 3,200 feet. It feels far away and remote, but is actually only ten miles from downtown Asheville, and easily accessible. Constructed of cedar and stone, the Inn was created in 1998 by Nat and Anne Burkhardt to provide a retreat where folks can enjoy a home away from home.

As a guest of this Musical Feast, you are invited to enjoy a glass of wine while exploring the Inn and grounds. Then partake of a delicious chicken salad luncheon complete with soup and dessert. Afterwards, Jeff Curtis, of Weaverville’s Curtis Wright Outfitters, will again demonstrate his beautiful raptors. Jeff, one of a few licensed falconers in Western North Carolina, is a knowledgeable speaker. Not only will you meet his birds; you will be entranced by his love of the ancient Sport of Kings.

Menu: Ginger-Carrot Soup, Chicken Salad with Grapes and Pecans, Marinated Asparagus, Deviled Eggs, Cheddar-corn Muffins, Strawberry Dessert.
