$125.00
  • « Musical Feast: Feast and Falconry at the Sourwood Inn
  • Musical Feast: Run for the Roses! »

A Musical Feast for the ages! – the Zahlers invite you to their beautiful home on the mountain for a musical program featuring Concertmaster Jason Posnock and his wife, Dilshad, both Asheville Symphony Orchestra players (address will be provided to attendees via email). This evening offers an opportunity to see the two of them in a more intimate setting. Marvel at their talents as they offer a delightful program of chamber music including a charming selection of music for flute, violin and piano.

As concert goers, you are familiar with Jason’s role as concertmaster for the Asheville Symphony Orchestra. He is also Director of Artistic Planning and Educational Programs at the Brevard Music Center and has appeared as soloist, chamber musician and orchestral principal internationally. A graduate of Princeton, Jason has graduate degrees from Carnegie Mellon and the Royal College of Music as well.

His wife, Dilshad, a flutist, is also an accomplished musician who performs regularly with the symphony. Originally from Bombay, India, she has performed in England and India as well as in the United States. In this country Dilshad served as Artist Lecturer in Flute at Carnegie Mellon University and performed with the Pittsburgh Symphony and Pittsburgh Opera and Ballet and is currently on the faculty of Brevard College.

As spring awakens in the mountains enjoy visiting with fellow music lovers in this art-filled home with its spectacular mountain vistas. Peruse the eclectic art collection while enjoying selected appetizers. An elegant seated dinner with wine pairings will then follow before the program begins.

This is a perfect opportunity to get to know this talented pair even better as your questions about their musical lifestyle are answered. Don’t miss it!
