Lauded as a “beautiful dramatic soprano capable of some awesome fireworks” [Asheville’s Citizen-Times] she will delight you with an array of lyrical Broadway favorites, soulful spirituals, symphonic favorites and a love aria or three. After her last melody, Momentum Gallery owner Jordan Ahlers will treatyou to a very special and informative tour about the exciting art that fills his gallery.

Simone Vigilante has appeared in recitals and competitions, with opera companies and orchestras, throughout the United States, France, Spain, Austria and Italy. Virginia McKnight, her collaborative pianist, has played for most of our musical organizations in Asheville.
Ms. Vigilante has lived in the Asheville area since 2001. She attended the Eastman School of Music, UNC School of the Arts, [BM], Indiana University Jacobs School of Music [MM]. She is the founding member of Opera Creations. Since 2003 she has sung numerous leading roles from Mozart to Menotti with Asheville Lyric Opera, as well as such musical theater roles as Bloody Mary [South Pacific] and Mother Abbess [The Sound of Music]. Additional roles include Golda [Fiddler on the Roof] and Ruth [Pirates of Penzance]. Recently, she performed with AmiciMusic’s Go Tell It On The Mountain and was the soprano soloist for the Asheville Symphony Chorusperformance of the Mozart Requiem, and Handel’s Messiah.
